Autumn is one of my favorite seasons, the crisp nights for good sleeping, the vibrant colors of the landscape, the comfort of snuggling in to the home. Although a brutal winter several years ago killed most of our rugosa roses (I didn't know it was possible to kill them, but being buried in nearly 4 feet of snow did it), some survived. They produce these fat, squat rose hips. I love the contrast of the bright berry with the dark foliage behind them. Materials: artist dyed cottons, commercial and hand-dyed cottons, screen printing, textile paint, Mistyfuse adhesive web, wool blend batting, thread. Size: 36 by 36 inches. $ 3,400.00 |
