Under the Bali Sea

Princess Mirah Designs for Bali Fabrics, Inc., www.balifab.com, asked me to design a quilt in collaboration with their staff in California to feature their latest line of fabrics. This 43x43 inch quilt debuted at Spring Market 2005, and calls on imagery from the sea and the tropics to recognize Bali's influence on the quilt world through their rich tradition of batiks. Fusible applique with satin stitch accents make this pattern a breeze to assemble. Or, if you prefer hand applique, it is easy to add seam allowances and make it in the traditional way.
