My first art quilt, Blackberries was cut free-form to celebrate the blackberry brambles around our home on San Juan Island. There, they say that when the blackberries are ripe, it is time to go back to school. Nothing is better than sun-warmed berries with a whiff of ocean air! On display at the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, Baker City, Oregon, July and August 2007. 25x25 inches; completed in 2000. In the collection of the artist. |
