St. David

When the minister and his wife retired, I made this quilt with a picture of St. David's Episcopal Church in Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington, and collected signatures from the congregation. The checkerboard fabrics came from the fabric stashes of six or seven members of the church. We presented the quilt to the minister and his wife in December--to celebrate his birthday and their retirement at the end of the month.
